2006.06.14 Morgan - 83 on AskMen.com

• Written by Site Contributor - Highway

In AskMen.com's 2006 Edition of the Top 99 Women, Morgan Webb came in at 83 with a AskMen.com Desirability Score of 6.98.

(AskMen.com) What She Is Known For

Morgan Webb is probably best known for being the sort of woman that every nerd lusts after, given her vast knowledge of computers and video games. She started out as a contributor for TechTV’s popular show Screen Savers, and eventually wound up hosting a video game program called X-Play (which has since become one of the highest rated shows on the network).

2006.06.13 Call for Help Returns to the US ... Online

• Written by Site Contributor - Highway

Call for Help on Google VideosIn a newsletter sent out by the staff at Call For Help (CFH), it was announced that on June 13th, 2006, technological fans of the internationally followed show can now access past, present and future episodes on Google Video (http://video.google.com).

However, what the newsletter neglected to mention was that each video that's produced and made available by Rogers Media, will require that you purchase the full length episode (about 48 minutes each) for a price of $0.99 per episode. The free version gives about 27 seconds (the show's intro and theme) -- providing you the information of what's being discussed in the particular episode.

We're not here to knock down the approach, we just wanted to make sure that the viewers understand that you'll need to purchase each video to view it and that it's not free... well, just the ones produced by Rogers Media.

You can check out the full newsletter posted on Call for Help IHMW Forums.

2006.06.06 FHM July 2006 Edition

• Written by Site Contributor - Highway

FHM July 2006 EditionTIPS FROM THE GAMING GODDESS

I lve by myself and have no one to play games against, except the computer. I'd like to start gaming online, but where do I start? -- Jim Armstrong, Philadelphia, PA

Artificial intelligence in gaming has come a long way since Pac-Man's Pinky, Blinky, Inky and Clyde, but there's still nothing better than a human foe. Fortunately, like deposed Nigerian princes, there are plenty to be found online. Your first time out, you will be slaughtered by a falsetto-voiced, smack-spewing 11-year-old boy -- there's no avoiding it. Lessen the pain by first practicing in your game's single-player mode, where you can learn the basic mechanics before hopping online.

Game makers also realize that no one has fun in a one-sided annihilation. So most online games -- Madden, Battlefield 2 and Halo 2, to name a few -- have matching systems, which analyze players' stats and pit equally skilled opponents against each other. Microsoft has developed its own system that can be used with any Xbox 360 game.

Do you prefer playing nice? Try an online role-playing game such as World of Warcraft or Star Wars Galaxies, which are all about exploring online worlds and meeting others. However you decide to get online, don't let a whupping from a young upstart scare you off. Look at this way: Unlike your pint-sized nemesis, Mommy doesn't dress you, your girlfriend has gone through puberty and if you get bored of a game, you can grab a beer with friends. All little Timmy has is Halo 2 and his braces.

2006.06.05 "A Reflection of May 2006"

• Written by Site Contributor - Highway

What happened in the month of May 2006?

X-Play New Intro- X-Play adopted a new introduction to the show as well as the stage set taking on a new look and feel. The introduction has a more anime-feel that showed Adam and Morgan playing various online games (no specifics about the games, just the various genre: e.g. FPS, flight simulators, hack-n-slash).

FHM 2006: Morgan Webb- FHM did their released their June 2006 magazine edition and this time, the June's photo selection of Morgan have gotten more approvals from her fans. June 2006's article answers the question, what are the best games to play based on the handheld gaming consoles available.

E3 2006- The X-Play/G4 hosts and staffers participated in bringing the viewers at home, E3 2006 Live, giving the viewers first hand looks at the new games and gaming technology. They witness the introduction of Nintendo's new nex-gen gaming console Wii (formerly known as the Revolution) and their new hand control that comes with the console. Sony introduced their new controller also, a wireless controller that will orient your subject in the direction that your controller happens to be facing. They also released the PS3 pricing breaks, $499 and $599 -- depending on the harddrive you wish to have installed on the system.

ScrewAttack.com- While at E3, the folks at screwattack.com had the opportunity to interview Morgan and what she had to say about her fansites, eg: www.iheartmorganwebb.com.

MySpace: Morgan- And, in case you haven't heard already, Morgan basically had it with the imposters on MySpace.com and decided to create her own MySpace account and profile. Since the creation of her MySpace account on May 26, 2006, Morgan's already clocked in about 3,200+ friends. She will be blogging using MySpace's blogging technology.

- "But, what about morganwebb.com?" you ask. The administrators of hosting site suspended the account -- but if she owns the domainname, it's very easy to make it so that morganwebb.com points to her blog on MySpace.

In other news...

- The keywords "Olivia Munn" has generated about 12.0% of the total traffic to this site. Of course, Morgan still dominates with a whopping 49.15%.
