2006.05.13 Screw Attack Gets Interview with Morgan Webb at E3

• Written by Site Contributor - Highway

Screw Attack -dot- ComThe folks at Screw Attack dot Com were fortunate enough to have gotten phone interview with Morgan Webb. They asked her the basic questions about things going on with G4 at E3, the parties that she attends and her take on all those fan sites created in her name.

You will even get to hear confirmations on some of the facts that were compiled regarding Morgan F.A.Q. and just to confirm: (1) she is allergic to cranberries, (2) she love knitting but she cannot confirm or deny that she's not posted on the [G4] messageboards since 2001.

Here's an excerpt of the interview regarding IHMW:

Stuttering Craig (screwattack): "So, Morgan, you're kind of a status... eh, status symbol when it comes to gaming and the gaming generation. Now, you have a ton of websites out there, does that kind of freak you out at all, like I Heart Morgan Webb and all that?

Morgan Webb: I think it's, it's very sweet, you know. I mean people, people enjoy the show and they want to support me and... they spend their time in creating these websites, I think... I think it's really sweet...

You can hear more of the podcast by visiting their website or clicking on the audio link itself.

.::. She thinks we're sweet.

2006.05.09 FHM June 2006 Edition

• Written by Site Contributor - Highway

FHM June 2006 EditionTIPS FROM THE GAMING GODDESS

Sex and concerts aren't all you can do outdoors this summer.

Cold weather has faded away into summer, taking with it any last excuse you have for staying in the house in self-imposed, gaming exile. Unless you're tight with the American Dermatological Association, friends will soon be dragging you outside to enjoy the sun. Make the most of UV radiation with these portables.

» For PSP
Daxter
Like yellow in the shallow end, sidekick spin-offs are to be avoided. But, this platformer starring Jak's second fiddle looks promising, boasting unlockables, wireless multiplayer, minigames and 15 hours of gameplay -- long enough to give your sunburn a tan.

Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins
This throwback action game brings back Sir Arthur -- star of the '85 coin-op classic, Ghosts 'n Goblins -- in a 3-D, wraith-slaying sidescroller. While fun, the game is very tough. As if the combination of a shameful physique and a Speedo wasn't already wreaking havoc on your feelings of inadequacy.

» For Nintendo DS
Metroid Prime: Hunters
This touch-screen first-person shooter is perfect for the beach. Just don't confuse your mission to collect crystals spread throughout the galaxy with Grandpa's mission to collect loose change spread throughout the beach with a metal detector.

New Super Mario Bros.
If coordination "isn't really your thing," forgo a game of backyard Wiffle Ball for a patch of shade and your old pals Mario and Luigi -- after all, they can't point and laugh. This all-new pipe-diving epic will delight fans of the NES original and has enough updated content to hold the interest of any gamer. Until an errant line drive tattoos a raspberry on your face.

2006.05.03 E3 2006, a new X-Play Intro and a New Set

• Written by Site Contributor - Highway

E3 2006Monday, May 1st, 2006 was the last episode featuring the current X-Play production layout set -- hopefully, the airing of the next new episode of X-Play (May 8th, 2006 at 4:00PM, mark your calendars and set your recorders) will show the new layout of the set. And if you haven't seen it already, the possible new X-Play episode intro (4.83MiB).

Just around the corner, Tuesday, May 9th, 2006, G4 will scurrying down to E3 '06. G4 will again be airing this year's E3 2006 live, taking up the time slots of the shows that it would normally be scheduled for that day.

The week of May 8th to the 12th looks like an entire week of new X-Play episodes.
